When I began this series in the few weeks leading up to Halloween in the year 2024, I placed upon myself a pair of strict stipulations. The first being, any of the "Skullies" I discovered must be photographed as they were found. I could not touch, move, or manipulate them in any way.

 

The second stipulation was to only use the available daylight at hand. There would be no use of any type of artificial illumination, including the use of a flash.

 

With those strict parameters in place, I set out to photograph as many "Skullies" as I could discover. These are the results of just some of those I was able to capture.

 

I must also give a special acknowledgement and show my appreciation for all of those wonderful people who decorated for Halloween, sharing with us the incredible imagination they have, thank you.
